Description  
This TestPak supplements an existing Autodesk Simulation Moldflow G-007 TestPak to add elasto-plastic modeling capability for FEA codes. Tensile specimens are cut from the fully developed flow region of a test plaque, in the flow, cross-flow and 45 degree orientations. Tensile stress strain tests are performed to failure, for each orientation. The resulting data are combined with Autodesk Simulation Moldflow data in a reverse-engineering process.

This TestPak can be ordered at different temperatures.

A Moldflow .udb material file is required for the reverse engineering. If this file does not exist, please order [G-007].

 
Data  
A Moldflow .udb file containing the reverse-engineered material model is delivered. Stress strain curves, modulus, and strength at three orientations are reported, as well as Poisson's ratio in the flow direction.

Application  
Fiber-filled injection molded parts have material properties that vary greatly depending on the spatial fiber orientation. This TestPak allows for simulation of non-linear behavior of fiber-filled parts.
