MSC.NASTRAN Hyperelastic Incompressible Model (MATHP)
Test ID
G-810
Description
This TestPak includes tensile stress-strain curves, compressive stress-strain curves, a planar tension test, and solid density to model deviatoric hyperelastic behavior. Data is fit to a Mooney-Rivlin model or the appropriate hyperelastic model. This TestPak does not account for volumetric effects.
Included Tests
1x | D-010 | Solid Density |
1x | M-205 | Tensile Properties of Elastomers |
1x | M-211 | Lubricated Compressive Stress-Strain (Biaxial Tension) |
1x | M-220 | Planar Tension (Shear) |
Options
For thin sheet materials, a biaxial tension test [M-218] may need to be performed instead of the compressive experiment.
Samples
: 6 hyperelastic test specimens
[details]Application
This TestPak is used to model a material exhibiting an elastic response up to large strains. It describes approximately incompressible hyperelastic behavior. Materials such as rubbers and elastomers are approximated well using this model.
