Compressive Stress-Strain, Strength and Modulus
Test ID
M-210
Description
A universal testing machine (UTM) is used. After sample is loaded, crosshead is lowered and stopped just before contacting sample. Test is started with crosshead compressing at constant, preset velocity. Compressive strain is measured using a compressometer.
Options
A long compression specimen can be used upon request in conjunction with an antibuckling fixture.
Standards
- ASTM D695
- ISO 604
