MSC.MARC Linear Isotropic
Test ID
G-901
Description
This TestPak consists of Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, thermal expansion and solid density. This option allows you to define material properties, a yield criterion, and a strain hardening parameters for an isotropic material. You can also associate these material properties with a list of element numbers.
Included Tests
1x | D-010 | Solid Density |
1x | T-303 | Thermal Expansion Coefficient by TMA |
1x | M-101 | Poisson’s Ratio and Tensile Modulus |
Options
Samples
: 12 tensile bars
[details]Application
Useful for design of parts that will undergo small deformations. The accuracy of this model depends on the assumption that it will stay within the bounds of the linear portion of the stress-strain curve. Useful when material is understood to have linear elastic, direction-independent strengths.
