Forming Limit Diagram (FLD)

Description
Cupping experiments are performed on sheet specimens of specified geometries using a universal testing machine or compression fixture. Plastic strains in the principal axes at failure are determined. Forming limit diagrams are generated using three different specimen configurations designed to produce varying states of triaxiality.
