C-MOLD Filling/Cooling
Test ID
G-010
Description
Properties needed to perform a C-MOLD injection mold-filling simulation are generated. These include viscosity vs. shear rate data at three temperatures (two in the processing range and one below) and thermal properties. Viscosity data are fit to Cross-WLF model.
Included Tests
1x | D-015 | Melt Density |
3x | R-011 | Capillary Rheology (1 Temperature) |
1x | T-015 | Specific Heat |
1x | T-103 | Thermal Conductivity Scan |
Options
More advanced TestPaks are available to simulate packing, shrinkage and warpage.
Samples
: 1 kg of pellets
[details]Application
According to C-MOLD, you can optimize part thickness while confidently determining gate location(s), weld line location(s), injection pressure and clamp force requirements, eliminating expensive production problems like short shots, flash, and air traps. C-MOLD Cooling simulates how the mold cools over the entire cycle and provides critical information needed to optimize coolant process conditions, mold design and part design. In many cases you can reduce production cycle times by using simulation results to predict the cooling time required for the part to reach the ejection temperature.
