LS-DYNA High Speed Tensile Rate Dependent Model (MAT_019 or MAT_024 or MAT_089)
Test ID
G-771
Description
Tensile experiments are carried out over a range of strain rates ranging into the high speed impact regime. Tests include three stress-strain measurements in the .01-1 /s strain rate range and two high speed tensile stress-strain curves in the 10-100 /s range covering a total strain rate range of four decades. Poisson's ratio is provided. Data are analyzed for use in the LS-DYNA MAT_019 or MAT_024 or MAT_089 model.
Please note that requesting strain rates that would produce test speeds below 1 mm/min may result in additional charges.

[details]Application
In conjunction with LS-DYNA, this data can be used to simulate the behavior of plastic components subjected to impact situations. The MAT_024 model works best with material showing little or no rate dependency in the modulus. Depending on the observed behavior, DatapointLabs may recommend other material models such as MAT_019.
