Tensile Creep With Humidity
Test ID
M-250H
Description
Tensile creep tests are performed by applying a constant tensile force over a long period of time while recording the strain in the gauge region of the tensile specimen. This test is performed in the same manner as the M-250 but with the ability to test at non-ambient humidity levels.
Options
Available from 23-80°C and 20-50 %RH.
Standards
- ASTM D2990
- ISO 899-1
Data
Isochronous Tensile Stress-Strain Curves, Tensile Strain v. Time. This data appears in Matereality as Tensile Creep.
Replicates
Number of times this test is repeated: 2
Samples
5 tensile bars [details]
Application
This test is used measure creep behavior of plastic in humid environments. If three stress levels are ordered, a simulation creep model can be generated.
