3 Point Flexural Stress-Strain, Strength and Modulus
Test ID
M-221
Description
A universal testing machine (UTM) is used to determine and report flexural stress/strain curve. The specimen is placed on span; the span width depends on the specimen thickness. The UTM crosshead with single-point nose is lowered until just above specimen. The test is performed at a constant velocity, using a calculated value for the strain rate. Load and corresponding specimen deflection are recorded.
