Transition and Eject Temperature
Test ID
T-012
Description
A differential scanning calorimeter is used to heat or cool the material over a temperature range, while measurements of heat flow are made. Typically, the material is heated rapidly to its molten state and data is collected in the cooling mode to 40°C, at a constant rate of 20ºC/min. The scan can also consist of collecting data while heating the material to its molten state. Transition temperature (onset of crystallization transitions; Tg for glass transitions) and eject temperature (end of crystallization or glass transition) are recorded.
Options
Upon request, data related to the first heating or cooling can be reported.
Standards
