Equibiaxial Tension of Elastomers
Test ID
M-218
Description
Equibiaxial tests are performed to generate data for use in hyperelastic simulation. A specimen is cut from a thin sheet of material and is pulled simultaneously in two directions. The test is combined with uniaxial tensile tests and planar shear tests to describe the behavior of the material in different modes of deformation.
