Cyclic Mullins Effect
Test ID
M-621
Description
A tensile specimen is loaded into pneumatic grips and pulled to a strain level 1/10 that of the requested strain and then unloaded. This samples is then reloaded to the same strain level a total of 5 times. The specimen is then loaded to 2/10 of the specified strain and repeated. The cyclic testing is then repeated for each of the ten strain levels.

Data
Cyclic Engineering Stress v. Strain Curves. This data appears in Matereality as Tensile Properties.
Replicates
Number of times this test is repeated: 5
Samples
5 tensile bars [details]
Application
This test is used to capture data needed for simulating the cyclic damage or softening experienced by rubber samples when loaded multiple times.
