Abaqus Hyperfoam (*HYPERFOAM)
Test ID
G-723
Description
An Abaqus hyperfoam model is generated based on compression data. Both axial and lateral strain is measured in the compression test to account for the variable Poisson's ratio of foam materials. For an additional cost other modes of deformation may be added to the model. This model may be paired with a viscoelastic model to account for rate dependency.
Included Tests
1x | M-210 HF | Compressive stress strain for hyperfoam simulation |
1x | M-206 | Tensile Stress-Strain, Strength, Modulus and Poisson's Ratio |

Samples
: 25 prisms
[details]Application
Hyperfoam materials consist of a hyperelastic material that includes either open or closed cells. These materials are unique in that they do not exhibit a constant Poisson's ratio in their standard use cases. With this testing and modeling it is possible to simulate this phenomenon.
