Tensile Modulus
Test ID
M-011
Description
A universal testing machine (UTM) is used to determine and report modulus of elasticity (Young's modulus). A dogbone or straight-sided specimen is loaded between the grips of the UTM. An extensometer with a two-inch gauge length is attached to the sample. Sample is stretched at a constant speed while load and strain data are recorded. Five replicates are performed.
