Anisotropic Tensile Moduli
Test ID
M-010
Description
A universal testing machine (UTM) is used to determine and report tensile modulus of elasticity (Young's modulus) in two directions. Straight-sided specimens are machined from plaques and loaded between the grips of the UTM. An extensometer is attached to the sample. Sample is stretched at a constant speed while load and strain data are recorded. Five replicates are performed in each direction.
