Tensile Fatigue S-N Curve
Test ID
M-508
Description
The fatigue test is performed in tension-tension at 6 stresses to cover 6 decades of failure, from 1 through 100,000 cycles, in order to generate an S-N curve.
NOTE: Typical test frequency for plastics is 5 Hz. At typical frequency, testing takes 15 days. Due to the long-term nature of this test it is necessary to speak to a sales associate before placing an order. Because the typical test duration depends on the frequency and duty cycle, priority and economy pricing are not available unless a short test duration is desired.

Data
S-N Curves. This data appears in Matereality as Tensile Fatigue.

Application
S-N curves provide a measure of the fatigue life of materials. Care should be taken in extrapolation of this data.
