Compressive Properties of Foam with Unloading
Test ID
M-215
Description
A compression stress strain curve test is performed a quasi-static speeds. This test is stopped at a point at the onset of densification and unloaded. The unloading stress strain is also recorded.
Options
For additional costs this test can be performed at non-ambient temperatures.
Standards
- ASTM D695
Data
Compressive Modulus, Compressive Strain at Yield, Compressive Strength at Yield, Compressive Ultimate Strength, Engineering Compressive Stress-Strain Curves, Offset Yield Strain in Compression, Offset Yield Stress in Compression, Strain at Ultimate. This data appears in Matereality as Compressive Properties.
Replicates
Number of times this test is repeated: 5
Samples
6 discs (50mm diam.) [details]
Application
This test is useful for determining the damage of foam materials when subjected to impact loading and unloading.
