Description
Properties needed to perform a Moldex3D injection mold-filling/cooling simulation are generated. These include viscosity vs. shear rate at three temperatures (two in the processing range and one below) and thermal properties. Viscosity data are fit to Cross-WLF Model.

This simulation indicates weld line and air trap, decides optimal runner design and gating locations, selects proper setting of melt and mold temperature, filling time, flow rate profile, injection pressure profile, and history of important process variables during filling phase. Moldex3D Cool module helps decide the optimal cooling channel layout and size, decides coolant temperature and flow rate, finds out optimum cooling time and shortens the injection cycle.
