LS-DYNA SAMP+GISSMO shell element failure model for ductile plastic (MAT_187+GISSMO)

Test ID

G-778I

Description

Rate dependent tensile data is generated at 6 strain rates, .01/s, 0.1/s, 1/s, 10/s, 100/s, and 500/s. DIC is used for 0.01/s. DIC is used to measure notched tensile properties. Shear Properties and the plastic Poisson’s ratio are also measured using DIC. In addition, compression data is collected to define the yield surface of the material. A flexural test is also performed. An elastoplastic and fracture material card for shell elements is provided by our partner, IDIADA. The element size is between 3-5 mm. Formulation 2 elements are used by default. The simulations of certain deformation modes are also provided.
