Tensile Stress-Strain for Round Metallic Specimens (Nadcap)
Test ID
M-204 MTL
Description
A loadframe is used to determine tensile properties of round metallic specimens. The specimen is gripped in hydraulic wedge grips and pulled at a constant strain rate until yield and then at a constant crosshead speed until break. Yield strength, Ultimate strength, elongation to break and reduction of area are reported. Testing is only available at room temperature. Testing is meant for Nadcap accredited testing.
Options
Tensile modulus may be reported but should be used as a reference value only.
Standards
- ASTM E8
Data
Elongation at Break, Engineering Tensile Stress-Strain Curves, Offset Yield Stress in Tension, Tensile strength at ultimate. This data appears in Matereality as Tensile Properties.
